The Jack Herer Cup is a cannabis rewards event held every year in Las Vegas to honor the “Emperor of Hemp”, the legendary cannabis rights activist himself, Jack Herer. It was a ton of fun to have the privilege to design this year’s poster featuring Jack Herer and Tommy Chong, surrounded by sentient marijuana buds. So excited to be part of this great event in Vegas, and possibly meet the legend Tommy Chong! I hope I did the portrait of Mr. Herer justice – a lot of pressure when dealing with such an important and revered figure!

This is one of the most unique projects I’ve had in a while: I’ve been commissioned by a private collector to transform this old Judge Dredd pinball playfield into an unofficial Breaking Bad theme! They mailed it over to me – I photographed it and digitized it, and I’ve been drawing characters from the show all over it. The final prodcut will be printed on vinyl and applied. Here’s the character turnaround illustration I originally created for the Flyers that was sent to the costume company, Character Translations Inc to make Gritty into a the big ball of orange fur we all love or hate! I originally submitted 25 different 20-minute rough sketches of what the mascot could be, and the Art Directors picked something very similar to what Gritty looks like today.
